Meg Gaillard

Biography

Meg Gaillard is an archaeologist with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Heritage Trust Program, and co-founder of the South Carolina Archaeology Public Outreach Division (SCAPOD). Her primary research is in archaeology, visual anthropology, public interpretation, disaster preparedness and recovery, and heritage at risk. Meg received an MA in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester where she focused her research on the visual representation of archaeology, and BA degrees in Journalism and Anthropology from the University of South Carolina.
