Biography

Belinda B. Nettles, Ph.D.,isaResearch Affiliate in the Center for Landscape ConservationPlanning at the University of Florida. Her recent research is broadly concerned with community resilience and climate-wise design. Belinda’sresearchincludes work on disaster planning for historic resources. She worked with the University of Florida’s Levin College of LawConservation Clinic on a project funded by the National Park Service that culminated in her co-authoringProtectingFlorida’sHistory from Hazards: A Guide for IntegratingCulturalResources into Disaster Planning. She holds a Ph.D. with a concentration in urban and regional planning and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Florida. She also holds a graduate certificate in historic preservation from theUniversity of Hawai’i and a bachelor’s degree in history from theUniversityof SouthFlorida.
