Kelly Rankin Legault

Biography

Dr. Legault is a Senior Coastal Engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. SAJ supports projects throughout the coastal zones of Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Previously, she was Assistant Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey where her work focused on the  characterization of the Hudson River Estuary and the design of coastal structures and their impact on sediment transport in New Jersey and New York; Coastal Scientist with Ocean and Coastal Consultants where she performed numerical and analytical analyses that contributed to coastal flood hazard studies and beach erosion mitigation; Research Engineer at Naval Research Laboratory, Key West, FL where she developed protocols for the treatment of ship ballast water for aquatic nuisance species.
