Peter Britz works on environmental planning and permitting and coordinates the City’s sustainability efforts as an eco-municipality. He has over 25 years of coastal and environmental planning experience. He is staff to the Conservation Commission, the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Committee on Sustainable Practices and serves on the City’s Technical Advisory Committee. He has worked on a number of City wide mapping efforts including, wetlands, vernal pools, and a natural resource inventory. He worked on the City’s Coastal Resilience Initiative (CRI) which mapped areas vulnerable to sea level rise, and looked at adaptation strategies for climate change which developed recommendations that have been incorporated into City’s Master Plan and Hazard Mitigation Plan.
