Biography
Kim Roche is a conservator at Clemson University’s Warren Lasch Conservation Center (WLCC) in Charleston, SC. She holds a Master of Science in Conservation Practice from Cardiff University. Growing up in Florida, she frequently witnessed the devastating effects of storms and hurricanes and need for advanced emergency planning. Since joining WLCC, Kim has focused on updating the center’s emergency plans and increasing emergency preparedness of staff members. She combines her knowledge of interventive and preventive conservation with project management experience to advocate for preparedness among heritage custodians in the Lowcountry. She presently represents WLCC as Chair for the Charleston chapter of the Alliance for Response (AFR) network, which is currently in development.
