Jolene Smith manages statewide archaeological data at the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. She holds a Master of Applied Anthropology degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and has been working with data, archives, and collections from throughout Virginia for over a decade. Her current work and research includes digital archives, interoperability and reuse of archaeological data, and using legacy data for outreach.
