Beth Burgess is the Resource Conservation Division Chief in the Howard County Department of Planning and Zoning. Like this diverse Division comprising a variety of sustainable areas in Historic Preservation, Agricultural Preservation and the Environment, Beth has a diverse background with experience in each field starting with a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture from the University Maryland. Growing up 5 miles east of Ellicott City, she is a Marylander through and through so this year of flood recovery was not only her job but a personal mission.
