Conference Website Receives Museum Publication Honors

The New England Museum Association awarded first place in the website category to HistoryAboveWater.org in its 2016 Publication Awards. The annual awards recognize excellence in both print and digital publishing.

Newport Restoration Foundation is proud to join the other honorees in the category: The Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum and the Bostonian Society’s Old State House. The Keeping History Above Water website is a place not only to categorize and collect conference related information, but also a destination for resources available to diverse audiences seeking solutions to sea level rise in their own historic communities.

In addition, NRF is looking forward to continuing to support awareness of at-risk historic and cultural heritage sites with the HistoryAboveWater.org website through a partnership with US/ICOMOS.

Many thanks to those who have helped to maintain the site, contribute their photographs and video-art, and continue to publish articles and blog posts drawing attention to the historic resources that define our coastlines.
