Emily Button Kambic is a Mellon/ACLS Public Service Fellow whose work focuses on sharing research in cultural resources with National Park Service interpreters, educators, and the public in the National Capital Region. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Brown University, where her research focused on cultural heritage in African American and Native American maritime communities. She has worked in research, education, and outreach with local museums and historical societies on Long Island and New England including Mystic Seaport, the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology, and the National Parks of Boston.
